Let the memory of Ademola be with us forever
  • 63 years old
  • Born on October 22, 1950 in Oyan, Osun, Nigeria.
  • Passed away on October 29, 2013 in Ilorin, Kwara, Nigeria.

This memorial website was created in memory of our beloved Dad and Grandpa, Ademola Folayan, 63, born on October 22, 1950 and passed away on October 29, 2013. We will remember him forever.

No amount of words can bring you to life but If it is true that a parent’s worst fear is losing a child, then a child’s worst fear is losing a parent.A week after your Birthday, On the 29th October 2013 by 11.30pm, just some few minutes when i anointed your forehead and prayed for you to get well on your sick bed was when my worst fear came true.
When I was younger I would sometimes think ahead to this day, trying to prepare myself for the inevitable trying to imagine how it might feel and what I would say at this moment. But the pain of such a thought being too great, I instead would turn those thoughts of life and death to myself and try to imagine my own death. What it would feel like, what I would see, how I might be remembered. In the case of my father,I can find no real fault with the life he has lead. Surely I can stand here and talk about some of his past mistakes among family, friends and colleagues but no one is perfect, and such talk seems trivial now.
As a person, he was the best because he made us who we are today and we are grateful to God.We will forever be grateful to you for your impact on our lives and to God for giving you to us as a father.
The Lord has taken you back to Himself when He felt you have accomplished your purpose in life.Though it was very painful to lose you at this time but we take consolation in the fact that God loves you most.

You are gone but your memory lives on.

We Miss you Baba Afo and we love you forever !!

It doesn’t matter whether it has been weeks, months or years – the pain of losing a father will pinch his son or daughter for a lifetime. You will be able to relate to this fact if you have lost a dad. Read these heartbreaking quotes and let the tears flow. Death and funerals one of life’s bitter truths and there is no point in being in denial. Cry your heart out and give your soul a release. This is the only way you can truly mourn, move on and accept reality that he has passed away. Think of the beautiful childhood memories, think of how much he loved you, think about his warm hugs, think of how he cared for you and most importantly – think of how even today, he is watching down on you like the angel that he has always been. Dad… I keep thinking about, you even though it pains. I’d give anything to relive those memories again. I miss you.

A precious one from us has gone. A voice we love is still. A place is vacant in our hearts which no one else can fill. After our lonely heartaches and our silent tears, We will always have beautiful memories of the one we loved so dear. Servant of God, well done! Rest from thy love employ. The battle is fought, the victory won. Enter thy Master’s joy.

Daddy was a selfless man, his love, care and hospitality towards strangers not to talk of relatives is second to none. I learnt a lot from is life. He loves everybody around him like he loves his children and cared for them even without knowing their background. I was shock when I had of his demise. MAY GOD CONTINUE TO GRANT HIM ETERNAL REST AMEN.

One year gone! Daddy, I believe that you are definitely resting with The Lord. It was shocking and painful when the news came to me a year ago but we still have reasons to thank God. He Has His own reasons which are beyond our imagination .We see it as a loss but God sees it as a gain to be with him ,resting after this world of problems and wickedness. We miss you Baba Fryoo.

"Honor your father and mother.” This is the first of the Ten Commandments that ends with a promise. And this is the promise: If you honor your father and mother, "you will live a long life, full of blessing.” And now a word to you fathers. Don't make your children angry by the way you treat them. Rather, bring them up with the discipline and instruction approved by the Lord. Ephesians 6:2 - 4" A special dad is hard to find, I will be like your Dad, Can never be like your own biological Dad. I wished you could have stayed forever, Especially at these time when i needed you most,But I will never forget you oh not ever. Distance is one thing that keeps us apart, But dad you will always remain in my heart.
