Words and tears failed me to have completed this tribute since your passing to glory.

Pastor Adetokunbo Abayomi Olorunnimbe, Earth's great loss but Heaven's glorious gain.

Hmnnnnn, A great Akokite per excellence, your dress sense made the guys in GQ magazine jealous, your sharp dressing and good looks did not however underscore your unrepentant love for God, pursuit of holiness, sacrificial and empathetic love for humanity and nature, and also your selfless pursuit and service to your Lord and Saviour. I recall that while driving you home from church, I expressed my absolute agreement with a mutual acquaintance about your carefree selflessness towards others even to your hurt sometimes, you were quiet for awhile then you responded "my brother, are you sure that I'm still not here because of these little works that i've been enabled to do" and so I held my peace for the rest of our journey while I was lost in deep thoughts about what I had just heard"

A musical group called the Temptations way back in the 80s caught a revelation of Pastor Toks's life and sang "I'll keep my light in my window". Every word penned and sculpted Pastor's very life and passion..... With lyrics like "I feel so good when I help a fellow man, so I'll keep my light in my window.

Dear Dad, I miss you daily and I remember that you often told us "that you cannot be right in disobedience neither can you be wrong in obedience".

Rest on my Dad, Pastor, Dearest Friend, Benefactor, and the one who loved me undeniably. You are so loved and much more sore missed. Rest on God's general till we meet to part no more.

It was a joy to have known you firstly as a non believer and when you surrendered your life to Jesus it was one of the most radical transformations that I’ve ever known. You embraced the Lord with all of your heart and served Him till you breathed your last and you were never once fazed by death because you had an assurance of eternity. What a man, what a legacy and certainly a tough act to follow. My prayers is for Modupe, your children and grandchildren to continue in the faith and never be afraid because the Lord is with them and I know you are smiling from heaven over them, knowing you came, you ran the race faithfully and you finished well and you left a good legacy for them. May your wonderful memories be for a blessing to them. Continue to rest on bro till we meet in glory.

Pastor 'Tokunbo Olorunnimbe was indeed a gentleman, kindhearted, real & compassionate! A calm listener, filled with great wisdom, encouraging and soothing words for ALL situations and Persons. I cherish everyone of your counsels.

A wonderful husband to my friend & Sister, Dr Olorunnimbe, genuine father to his Children and Pastor indeed to his Sheep at home & in Church.

A sacrificial giver & lover of God and mankind! How can me & family forget how in August 2018 with less than 48 hours notice of arrival to Lagos, you left your main car for us to use on a 10 days holiday with filled fuel tank and to return it to your home in your absence. This can only be Pastor Olorunnimbe!!! I will forever remember your kindness to us!

You lived a memorable and impactful live, you fought the good fight, manifesting God's glory and miracles in life trials and exited to glory. Uncle Ade, your absence is deeply felt. Having the privilege to know you was truly remarkable. You stood as an exemplary figure, embodying someone who deeply knew and cherished God. The evening devotions at your place were always so heartwarming. The authenticity of your relationship with God made His presence tangible. While your departure has left a void, the solace lies in knowing you're now in a place far more glorious.

The passage of Pastor Adetokunbo Abayomi Olorunnimbe unto glory was like a drama, the reality is becoming true not quite long.
My commentary is personal as the work of God brought us together. He was my HOD in ushering department of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. His simplicity and trust drew me closer to him. God used him to strengthen the department and myself especially. He mentored, thought me steadfastness, his disposition to things of God made me committed beyond my limit. Such that all I planned to do must be whispered to his hearing. His counsel as a legal luminary broaden his contributions to issues and this puts together safe my ministry been beheaded.
The life and times of my beloved father, leader and friend is unparalleled, was it in the area believing in God for all things, always telling us to pray even when the answer to the prayer points is next to him.
The thought behind this thanksgiving service in your honor is great, God used you to accomplish His goals for my life.
You came, set things right and disappeared, this we are still enjoying till date in our department.
Your chapter is closed as you transient unto glory but you good deed is speaking loud and clearer till now.
I salute you sir. Adieu.

Olusola JOHNSON.

To a great and humble man.

Today, with gratitude to God for a life well lived to God's glory, i write in memory of our daddy and pastor, Tokunbo Olorunnimbe. A man of faith and foresight, a loving and caring shepherd, a spiritual guide, a pillar of comfort and silent philantrophist.
He was full of compassion and love for us as members of the church and the community at large, he had passion for helping others.
His commitment to spreading the gospel and church growth was second to none.
His sermon were not merely speeches but heart to heart conversation rooted in deep wisdom, he goes beyond church pulpit to showing his presence in our lives by sharing in our joy and sorrows.
One of daddy's traits i appreciate so much was his ability to relate with everyone from all walks of life, he valued people.
Despite all his accomplishment, he lived a simple life, he inspired me.
Daddy Olorunnimbe fought a good fight, finished the race and i know he has a crown of righteousness. Your lagacy remains. Your memories remains. Rest on daddy.

Pastor Toks to close pals,
Daddy Olorunnibe to COP FAMILY, you came to COP when everything looked like a storm, and God used you to harmonize, restore peace and developed our church.

With you as our pastor, every member became more dedicated and committed.
You win souls for Christ.

We are not province but Daddy GO visited and blessed our church three (3) consecutive times even after your demised.

My personal encounter with you gave me an insight into a true meaning of leadership and humility .

The day you went to meet your maker, we were happy on one side that heaven has gained one, but on the other side, we mourned because we lost a great leader we may likely never have again.

Sleep well, our dear pastor.
You are greatly missed!

Pastor Adetokunbo Olorunnimbe whom i fondly called Daddy was a man after God's heart and agenda. He and his wife - Mummy treated me as a de facto adopted son.
Daddy was my mentor and he protected me as a father would to his beloved son. His down to earth nature endeared him to me, I was a young man who had since lost his biological father at the age of 12 and who was trying to ride through thorns to thrive and navigate the storms of life and be a success story.

Meeting a true man of God like Daddy redefined the meaning of life to me. He taught me valuable life lessons such as; live within your means, plan for the future, you lose a battle to win the war, allow God to fight your cause even if you have the means to fight.
Our meeting was divinely orchestrated. It was at a time when the office of the General Overseer needed to consult with an IT Specialist (my humble self) because the staff who previously handled all in-house IT needs there had just left to pursue some career development.

He saw and believed in the giftings of God in my life hence he entrusted some high-value official and personal assignments to me. This stretched my degree of competency as i worked to deliver excellently under tight deadlines. On the other hand, he implored me to maintain a healthy work life balance as he himself was an amazing family man.
Eventually Daddy Olorunnimbe later re-employed the young man who resigned earlier to the service of the esteemed office of the General Overseer years after, making him a Selfless leader.

Indeed, his personality was that of kindness, understanding, love for all, committment and loyalty. Daddy Olorunnimbe was peaceful, meek, ever grateful, respectful, prayerful, calm, evangelistic and never sought a personal recognition for himself.
I miss him dearly and will always cherish the memories of his unconditional love.

Whenever i delivered efficiently on a given project and he was impressed, he used to tell me to evaluate the workmanship, monetize it, then he will hand me his personal cheque book and tell me to write any amount for myself as wages - i mean 'any amount'.
Although these high-impact official assignments were such that required godliness, research, strategy, creativity and dilligence, his benevolent blank cheque inspired me to contentment and to always uphold integrity. No one has ever valued or appreciated me this way.

When i had health issues, he supported me in ways he could and often comforted me with his own health story during the last few months we spent together.
Back then, each time i saw him coughing or trying to swallow painfully, i will say 'am sorry Daddy' and he'll reply, 'don't be sorry, how about you? are you doing okay?" He was ever caring and always smiling.

Two weeks before his departure from earth, he called me in the middle of the night as i had just relocated abroad with my family a few months earlier.
He was calling to ask after my welfare, my wife and his grandkids as he referred to my children.
I vividly remember him asking if I needed financial support to enable me settle down in my new country and i replied "I'm fine Daddy, please just pray for us".
He then prayed and blessed me from his heart making supplication for new blessings and seeking God's perfect will for all my ways.

I can go on and on about Daddy Olorunnimbe because his exit was an exodus of a blessing to humanity.
I remain grateful that i knew Daddy and I trust God we'll see again on the resurrection morning, where we'll meet to part no more.
Much more, i am grateful to Mummy Modupe Olorunnimbe for her being the essence of harmony and for upholding Daddy's legacy.

Yours sincerely,
Adekunle A. Adeyemi

In loving memory of my dear cousin, Pastor Adetokunbo. It has been five years since we said goodbye to you. Your gentle presence, kind spirit, and unwavering love still resonate within us, reminding us of the beautiful soul you were.

You had a quiet strength that spoke volumes without words. Your intelligence was evident in every conversation we had, as you effortlessly imparted wisdom and offered guidance. You were a beacon of knowledge, always eager to learn and share your insights with others.

Religion held a special place in your heart, serving as the foundation of your values and guiding your every action. Your unwavering faith was an inspiration to us all, reminding us of the power of belief and the comfort it brings during times of hardship.

As a son, you were exemplary. You showered them with love, respect, and care. Your unwavering support and presence brought them immense joy and pride.

The bond you shared with your siblings was one of pure love and camaraderie. Your presence in their lives was a source of strength and solace, and the memories you created together are cherished treasures that will forever be held close to their hearts.

As a husband, you were the embodiment of love and devotion. Your unwavering commitment and selflessness were a testament to the depth of your affection for your wife. You were her rock, her confidant, and her partner through thick and thin. Your love story serves as a reminder that true love knows no bounds and endures even in the face of adversity.

But perhaps the greatest joy you experienced in life was being a father. Your children were the light of your life, and you embraced the role with boundless love and tenderness. Your guidance, support, and affection shaped them into remarkable individuals, and they carry your legacy forward with pride and gratitude.

We miss you dearly, but we find solace in knowing that you are in the loving embrace of God. Your journey on Earth may have ended, but your spirit lives on within each of us, guiding us, and reminding us to cherish the time we have with our loved ones.

In this tribute, we honor the memory of a kind-hearted gentleman, a loving son, brother, friend, husband, and father. Your legacy is etched in our hearts forever, and though the pain of your absence lingers, the love and light you brought into our lives will never fade.

Rest in peace, dear cousin, for God surely loves you more.

With eternal love and gratitude.

Pastor Toks as fondly called, but we call you daddy V/I. You came, fought conquered and left a legacy that is Godly and indelible in our hearts. Not by physical mere mortal things that men run after and give accolade to, but undeniable seed of life to enable us walk uprightly and caught up with Jesus Christ in the cloud at His second coming. You are not just a Professor of Christ but a Possessor of Christ just like what Apostle Paul said 1Cor.9:27.

Your honesty, humility, sense of responsibility, show of Godly love and a heart of help irrespective of the concerned person's status, orientation or deficiency is worthy of emulation. What a large heart! Lagos traffic could be crazy and many Christian when driving in traffic and another driver drives roughly lose their cool and speak out, but you always kept your calm, I never saw you angry or speak rashly, a great grace difficult to find these days. Your good works, positively impactful life still speak for you Sir. Under your leadership, the Chosen Generation family have a unique way of saying the Grace at the end of each service. 5 years gone so soon, but your memory remained etched forever in our heart.

Heaven’s gain. For us the race continues not to lose our crown. Keep resting in the Bosom of our Lord Jesus Christ.

A born-leader leaves traces of his greatness on the sand of times for generations to see and learn. You were a born-leader who made such an unbelievable impact on people you met.
I did not meet you, not even once, but I could feel the life you put in all who worked with you in the office of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
The wisdom you carried still resonate in all we do in that office today.
We thank God for allowing you to come to this world: an angel in human form! We thank God for the life of those you left behind. We thank God for the church you sacrificed all for.
Continue to rest in the bosom of the Father!

The memory of the just is blessed says the Bible. Pastor Toks, since you left, things are no longer the same again. You were God sent. You were like the sons of Issachar, who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, and their brethren were at their command. You upheld righteousness, and that courageously, and served as a stabilising factor to the Church. Your exit- a big vacuum!
See you in the morning beloved Saint of God.

The righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance. I met Pastor Tokunbo and Pastor Modupe Olorunnimbe in the year 2015 when they were resident pastors @ the Rccg City of Palms Anthony. I had gone with my sister also a Pastor's wife who lives in Maryland to worship at the City of Palms. I was captivated by the simplicity of both Pastors and the depth of the sermon. There and then I resolved to make City of palms my church anytime I was in Lagos. Pastor Toks was a devoted and committed servant of God. This assumption is validated by the many roles he served in simultaneously. To mention a few, he was Daddy GO's secretary, Head Ushering Unit of the RCCG, Asst. Provisional Pastor, Zonal and Parish Pastors. He was also a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather and eldest son of the family. Pastor Toks served God with an unequaled passion nd speed. It was as if he knew he will be called up to the celestial soon. Not until he translated did many knew how many members of the church he was helping yet without noise. To some he paid their rent, some children's school fees and to many he made gainfully employed. Indeed Pastor Toks was one of a kind, a unique man of God indeed. May God continue to keep your adorable wife, children, grandchildren and the entire family in Jesus' Name. Continue your Hallelujah praise with other saints in heaven.

Today my darling, you would have been 65years old. I imagine that if you were still with us, i would be pushing that you have a birthday party. And you would have declined, with that magical smile of yours. You would have opted for a quiet day, doing what you do best...... making other people more comfortable. But where you are, is a place of endless praise and worship of the King of kings. It is an endless party and you longed so much, to be with your maker. So i imagine, to the glory of God, that you are having a great time in His presence. You remain Forever in my Heart. Keep on basking in His wonderful presence. Hallelujah

Dear Toks, even though you are no longer with us, i find myself wanting to observe what would have been your 64th birthday in some way. You are no longer a part of our daily lives, but the children and i still feel grateful to God that we had you for the amount of time you spent with us. Today (26th May) is a great day to celebrate the qualities we love and miss about you. We still honour the life you once shared with us. One part of me rejoices that you are at rest in the presence of the Lord your maker. Another part reminds me of what could have been, if you were still around with us.
No matter how much time passes, today serves as a jarring reminder of your departure.
I was blessed to have found a loving Husband to walk through life with. You remain a part of my life going forward. The people we love stay alive in our hearts and minds long after they’re gone and i remember the joy you brought into my life, the value you added.
You were more than a husband; you were my best friend. Sleep on, Beloved.

It's taken me this long to write something on this page. It is still so surreal to me. I have lived through the past (almost) 3 years trying to get through life. Your love for God and the things of God remains as memory to guide us. "What would Toks do?" This is a question i keep asking myself and the answers remain guiding lights on my approach to life now.
You left us for a much better place, to be with your Maker, but you left with a piece of me. I am thanking God for giving me a good life with you. The children and grandchildren (yes, Olasheni still remembers you), talk about you with so much love, affection and "missing". I still call out your name when i want to share gist. Forever loved, forever missed. Rest on, gallant Soldier.

My husband was excited, trying to settle in to a new 'Father', then you took off Sir and went to heaven. Continue to cheer us from over there. When I see you in heaven, I have some questions for you sir. Rest on sir. Say hi to the saints we know.
