A True Friend

June 14, 2021
Tunji used to attend First United Methodist Church, Hyattsville and he and l sang in the gospel choir. We became friends and l met his wife, Morenike when they got married. I attended his 50th birthday party at a restaurant. He and Morenike attended my 50th birthday party too. They also came to the New Year's day party in my new home in 2011. The last time l saw Tunji was July 22, 2018 after he informed me he was recovering from a stroke. He came to support me at a business event and wanted to join my team. A true gentleman. I spoke to him on his birthday October 9, 2020. Rest on my friend, the suffering is over. Rest in peace. I'll miss your smile.

My condolences to the entire Oyenusi family. May the Lord comfort his family and others close to him. I met Tunji and his twin brother, Debo at Federal School of Science (FSS), VI, Lagos. We continued as friends when we all moved to the USA. Tunji was a friendly, nice and jovial person. Tunji used to lighten up any gathering or party.  He was very sociable. He would be sorely missed. May his soul RIP. Amen.
