BRIEF BIOGRAPHY OF MRS. AGNES BODI SODE-SHINNI TSADO

October 10, 2016

Mrs. Agnes Bodi Sode-Shinni Tsado was born to the family of Late Engr. S.N. Rumala and Mrs. E.A. Sode-Shinni on 8th October, 1975 at Bida General Hospital, and passed away on October 4th, four days before her 41st birthday.

She had her primary education at Army Children's School, Bida between 1980 and 1986, and proceeded to Government Girls Secondary School, Yelwa,Maiduguri, where she obtained her secondary school certificate in September, 1991. She graduated from Federal University of Technology, Minna, with a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Engr.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering in December, 1998.

After her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), she was offered appointment to the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC)as Computer Analyst, in July, 2002 followed by assignments of increasing responsibility. She rose to the rank of Manager, Computer Engineer, during this period and attended series of workshops, among which were in Canada and United Arab Emirate (Dubai).

She got married to Dr. Theophilus Y. Tsado on 29th May, 2004 and is survived by her husband, mother, siblings, uncles, aunties, children, in-laws, family and friends. As most people know, Agnes had a huge heart and was always a tower of strength. She took care of everyone, and provided them with necessities of life if needed. She loved and cared for children, irrespective of their background. She would lend a hand whenever it was needed, and provided whatever type of support necessary. She faced adversity with remarkable grace, strength, dignity and courage. She has left a great vacuum not only in the NIMC and Anglican Communion, but also in the national and international community. We can all take lessons from her about how to triumph over challenges. May her soul rest in peace.

Agnes was a devoted member of the St. Mathews Anglican Church.
