I remember every time I went over there as a kid- she would always give me ice cream and when I left she’d slide me money… every single time..

You all know my dad, cool dude, man of few words, and doesn’t show much emotion…

Yesterday before visiting I stopped by during my lunch to talk to him, and he was so choked up…

And this morning when my parents called- they were both crying.. and in all of my life this is one of very few moments I’ve witnessed him in this state.. I can truly see and feel how much he loves her..

He was saying “we need to make sure we order flowers… she loves flowers…can you look now?” But we were telling him we have to wait for arrangements to know where to have them delivered..

Dad is not the one to initiate or be proactive about getting things done, but for auntie, I can see how pure the love is..

Sending extra love, mng Ralph, Gina, & Rachel. Your mom definitely made an impact on those closest to her. All of the stories my dad has told me… has made it
so transparent on why auntie was his favorite.

Dear Salumbides Family,

It is with great sorrow that I send my condolences. Aida was my PM shift charge nurse at CCRMC in the 90's. I remember her smile like it was yesterday. She was an elegant lady, always well dressed and soft spoken. I am grateful for the time I had with her. I enjoyed working with her. God bless you Aida...rest in peace.

So sorry we could not be there with you all. We loved Auntie Aida. She was an amazing and wonderful person. She was very helpful and generous to us. Her contagious smiles will be missed. Words cannot express our sorrow. Auntie Aida filled our lives with happiness and sweet feelings that we will carry in our hearts forever. May Auntie rest in heaven. 
The ones that leave us never truly leave us; they live within our hearts; they live on in the kindness they have shared and the love they brought into our lives.
