Akintunde, I won’t say it’s your remembrance day because i remember you everyday and the vacuum you left in my heart cannot be filled by anyone because there can never be another you.
Keep resting in the bosom of the Lord my friend.
You are always and will forever be in my heart, “Akintzundze” as i always called you….

Egbon mi, you’re missed everyday by us all.

Just yesterday my friend shared an important observation with me ( we haven’t seen lizards and ghecos in America) and Immediately said oh I would have asked my brother why and how. Because I’m sure you would know!!!

Hmmm. I’m here now, wey we supposed dey rub minds together and say how I suppose do this and that but you’re silent.

Sweet is the Remembrance of the Righteous. Continue to rest in the bosom of your savior.

Happy birthday posthumously.

Love still!

Egbon mi,

Akintunde Olufemi Awofe , The Aremo of
Akin Obimakinde Dynasty as you fondly love to be called. It's been a year since you left us and I dare say that the combination of both sista mi and I haven't been able to fill your void. Your place stays intact.
I, who liked to be a social media butterfly , suddenly became introverted both online and offline.

One whole year without you has not been easy. I miss you very much.
I miss our our chit chat, I miss our bants, I miss asking random questions, you being my encyclopedia.

I miss all the political analysis you give me, many of these information I go out there to argue with and people think I'm smart , informed and intelligent. They didnt know my brother is the smart one.

I miss all the cultural Yoruba indigenous stories that you've read and share with me.

I miss your funny sarcasm, ohh I miss those sarcasm. I miss your jokes.

I miss disagreeing with you on silly things . Hmmm , I now know those things are silly . I would go any length to have those arguement with again. or better still I'll do anything to have you and not disagree with you again.

Death cannot stop me from celebrating you. I celebrate your life, I celebrate what you represent , I celebrate your legacy, I celebrate your good deeds , I celebrate the seeds you left behind (They will germinate and be bigger trees).

I celebrate you dear Brother.

You will always! Always be in my heart.

I love you and forever will.

Heaven Gained!

Brother Tunde, i have known you since I was little considering how close our families were. I have always known you to be kind and cheerful. Always joking and bringing a smile to our face. Your love affair with your wife is something i always cherished. The way you care for her and love her amazes me and makes me know there are good men out there.
The news of your death is still a shock to me but Christ knows best. You are loved.

Still miss you and will continue to miss you...Ur loving family misses u the most but we are consoled by the fact that God loves u most and he understands why he had to take you this early... Happy posthumous birthday my brother and friend. Still very difficult to come to terms with this. I know how we always looked forward to days like this since we met in the same office and shared same compound with other colleagues some 14 years ago in Edo State . Just going through our last chats on Instagram the week before your transition where we shared jokes, never imagined it would be a different story a week after. Will always remember the role u played during my wedding, the ideas we had in common about family & career, the views we discussed about politics and football, etc. May God continue to rest your kind and gentle soul in His bosom and comfort IBK, the kids, your parents, siblings, other family members and friends. Miss you Tuneski.

Tuneski like I fondly call u.... life they say is too short.. so true...sadly true... but the best of humans get off too early.. Who are we to question our creator?... U were a Real friend... always willing to lend an ear and hand...I would call u first if i ever needed a second opinion... u will give an objective one and advice... call to check if it worked... U were sincere and selfless and painfully kind too and a fast thinker.... I loved ur views on topics.... very vast!..I couldn’t bear to see the sky for days after u left... It’s still hurts so deep as if it were today...I Bless the Lord for the time u spent on earth.. tho short but impactful... U would have been 40 today... I celebrate u in my heart BabaTunde... so it would always remain...❤️
Your Friend
Blessing❤️
