Egbon mi,
Akintunde Olufemi Awofe , The Aremo of
Akin Obimakinde Dynasty as you fondly love to be called. It's been a year since you left us and I dare say that the combination of both sista mi and I haven't been able to fill your void. Your place stays intact.
I, who liked to be a social media butterfly , suddenly became introverted both online and offline.
One whole year without you has not been easy. I miss you very much.
I miss our our chit chat, I miss our bants, I miss asking random questions, you being my encyclopedia.
I miss all the political analysis you give me, many of these information I go out there to argue with and people think I'm smart , informed and intelligent. They didnt know my brother is the smart one.
I miss all the cultural Yoruba indigenous stories that you've read and share with me.
I miss your funny sarcasm, ohh I miss those sarcasm. I miss your jokes.
I miss disagreeing with you on silly things . Hmmm , I now know those things are silly . I would go any length to have those arguement with again. or better still I'll do anything to have you and not disagree with you again.
Death cannot stop me from celebrating you. I celebrate your life, I celebrate what you represent , I celebrate your legacy, I celebrate your good deeds , I celebrate the seeds you left behind (They will germinate and be bigger trees).
I celebrate you dear Brother.
You will always! Always be in my heart.
I love you and forever will.
Heaven Gained!
