Εκ μέρους της οικογένειας του πολυαγαπημένου μας Άκη, θα θέλαμε να σας ευχαριστήσουμε μέσα από την καρδιά μας για την αγάπη, την συμπαράσταση και την στήριξή σας σε αυτές τις πραγματικά δύσκολές μας στιγμές.
Για όσους θέλετε να είστε κοντά μας, το τελευταίο αντίο στο μεγάλο ταξίδι του Άκη μας θα λάβει χώρα με την εξόδιο ακολουθία, το Σάββατο 14 Φεβρουαρίου 2015, και ώρα 12.00 το μεσημέρι, στον Ιερό Ναό του Αγίου Κωνσταντίνου στο κοιμητήριο Ζωγράφου.
Οι γονείς: Γιώργος & Μαρία Κολλάρου, τα αδέλφια, και οι λοιποί συγγενείς.
On behalf of the family of our beloved Akis, we would like to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of our hearts, for your love and support through this difficult times we are going though.
For those who want to be with us at the farewell of Akis, his funeral will take place on Saturday, February 14th 2015, at 12:00 noon, at the Church of St. Constantine (Ayios Konstantinos) in Zografou Cemetery, in Athens-Greece.
His Parents: George & Maria Kollarou, his siblings, and the rest of the family.

Αυτή η σελίδα δημιουργήθηκε στη μνήμη του αγαπημένου μας Άκη Κολλάρου, ο οποίος έχασε τη ζωή του σε δυστύχημα στο Λονδίνο στις 2 Φεβρουαρίου 2015.
Συγκλονισμένοι από τον άδικο χαμό του αλλά δεχόμενοι την αγάπη φίλων, συνεργατών ακόμη και ανθρώπων που δεν γνώρισαν ποτέ τον Άκη μας, από όλο τον κόσμο, δημιουργήσαμε αυτή τη σελίδα στη μνήμη του.
Σας καλούμε να μοιραστείτε μαζί μας στιγμές που ζήσατε με τον Άκη, φωτογραφίες και βίντεο, έτσι ώστε να δημιουργήσουμε ένα διαδικτυακό βιβλίο γεμάτο με την αγάπη των φίλων του.
Ευχόμαστε να έχετε τον Άκη στην καρδιά σας μα πάνω από όλα στις προσευχές σας.

This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Akis Kollaros, who was killed in a tragic accident in London on February 2nd 2015.
Deeply shocked and devestated by our loss, receiving words of courage from friends of Akis around the world, we have created this site to honor his memory.
We invite you to share though this page your memories with Akis', your thoughts, any photos or videos you might have with him, in order to have an online book full with the love of his friends around the world.
We do hope that you will always remember Akis and that you will pray for him.

I only ever met Akis in person once but he put a lot of work my way and we spoke on the phone, by text and online all the time. I was stunned by the news so decided to try and do something positive by setting up the fund to maybe raise a little money to help his family get him home. The original amount was set at £500 and I wasn't sure we would reach that but I didn't bank on the fact Akis spent his whole life paying it forward helping people at every chance he got. The original target was passed within hours so we upped it to £1000. That was exceeded by the next morning so again we doubled it to £2000. Eventually it had to be raised to £5000 but it eventually reached over £8000 which was enough to pay for the repatriation, funeral, headstone and all the expenses. That in itself speaks volumes about the sort of guy Akis was, that people thought so highly of him they would willingly dip into their pockets to help him when he needed it. The tribute day at OQH wasn't a sad affair at all but a fitting celebration of a life well lived cut tragically short but which touched so many lives in a positive way in that short time. A huge loss for all who knew him and the London music scene but in the words of the late Terry Pratchett "no-one is actually dead until the ripples they cause in the world die away..." and with Akis that is a very long time away. Bye mate, you were a fast-burning star that lit up a lot of lives in a short time and that lives on in every life you touched.

I remember Akis from our days in the Musicology Dept. in Athens, Greece, back in the late 90's. Though I didn't knew him very well, I was shocked reading about his death.

i didn't know Aki very well,but through his close friends and family even i can see he will be missed immensely.His memory has brought people together and that alone is a gr8 honour.
