"Hello daddy
today is your birthday so I want to wish you a happy birthday. Ilove and miss you so very much and there is never a day that goes by that I dont think of you or of Shannon.  I wish you were here so you could see both of you're beautiful granddaughters Jessica and Samantha. Jessica will be graduating in just a couple of weeks and Sami goes on to the third grade. Daddy you're missing so muchbut in reality I know you're always watching down upon all of us and guiding us in the right paths. I also know that someday I'll be able to join you and we can have a family reunion again. I love you and miss you very much daddy. HAPPY birthday again daddy."

"You were my second father.  I miss you and wish you could have seen me finish growing up; could have known my children.  Thank you for all the experiences you let me tag along for, especially throwing me into the lake and making me learn to water ski."
