His Life
August 8, 2015

I heard he was a good son, I know he was a great brother, a phenomenal father, an awesome grandfather (Papa), a fun uncle, sound friend, teacher, and more.

What he was to me:

Alan was my love, my mature, sincere, solid love, the kind without hypocrisy, no jealousy, no games, tricks, no lies, no hidden agendas, and no bounderies. Alan provided me with the love that includes trust, respect, patience, forgiveness, care. He often set his needs, his dreams aside to help me reach mine. Little did he know my dream was to be his wife and grow older together.

My whole world was tilted upside down the night he was taken from us. Leaving without telling me how to go on without him. Now all I do is send prayers and thoughts to the spiritual realm, hoping somehow, wherever he is he can still feel how much I love him, how much I miss him.

Alan (Papa), thank you for the years of intense beautiful love, for loving my children and grandchildren as your own, thank you for the challenges, the happiness, the growth, the trials, the understanding, the ups and downs, the learning and teaching, thank you for telling me I love you every day until your very last breath, thanks for the journey... Please remember you promised to meet again. I will forever love you, Alan.
