Remembering Alan on his birthday and on so many other days.... Saddened, still. Such a special person who contributed so much to so very many. Forever remembered and forever missed, indeed. Many hugs to his family and to his many friends.

Having come across this devastating news just by chance, I am so terribly upset to learn of this tragic loss. There are no words to adequately describe what a lovely, caring, extraordinary individual we have lost. I am deeply deeply saddened. I will never ever forget.... Dr. Bodner was beyond special. My sincere condolences go to Julie and to the entire Bodner family and many friends. Grief never leaves: we hope that the unbearable acuity lessens some with time.

I always think of him and miss him so very much. For years I've wanted to reach out to him but after he retired it wasn't as easy. From time to time, he'd call me at home to see how I was doing but then the calls stopped in 2007. Today for the first time decided to look up the home address to send him a letter and saw that he'd passed in 2012. I adored him and reading this just broke my heart. He was an excellent and caring dentist, and a wonderful person. No one will ever compare to him. Dr. Bodner was not only the best dentist but a dearly loved person that I admired so very much. He always knew how to guide me into the right direction as a young girl, as I grew into a woman. He always made me feel like I was a daughter to him. I will miss him always. My Deepest Sympathy.

My mother, Edna Platz, just told me about Dr. Alan's death. Our condolences to Julie and the rest of the family. Dr Alan was a wonderful dentist - especially to a young person quite terrified of the entire process. My parents originally went to his dad, who was a friend of my uncle, Roland Behrens. We remember Dr.Alan fondly. Sending sincere sympathy to you all.

My thoughts and prayers are with Julie and the entire Bodner family. It's not often that one gets to know, love and admire their dentist but Alan was "one in a million." His warmth, humor and genuine goodness will always be remembered. May your wonderful memories of his love and compassion comfort you at this very difficult time.

So shocked and saddened to hear this news. Dr. Bodner was not only the best dentist one could ever have but a dearly loved friend. He clearly loved life, food, wine and most of all people. I'll never forget the laughs at Tennis Camp and the great stories we shared. Sending deepest sympathy and big hugs to Julie and all the Bodners. xxxxAnnie
