Obituary
Alberico Tobias Tansiongco, 74, died Monday, February 4, 2019 in the presence of his wife and two sons while under supportive care after over a year long battle with Cancer.
Alberico was born in Magdiwang, of Romblon Islands in the Philippines. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, University of the Philippines in 1968. He became a Lieutenant in the Philippine Army before moving to the United States in 1971 at the urging of Lolo Bicong. While completing Chemistry Courses at Lake Superior State College in Sault Ste., Marie, Michigan, he met Deorinda Amparo in 1972 in Boston. He followed her to Houston and married December 22, 1973. He completed Advanced Quality Geotechnical Laboratory Testing from the University of Missouri in 1976 and became a US citizen 1977. He possessed many certifications as a Quality Auditor and had a 40 year long career as a Quality Engineer, Coordinator, and Project Manager and traveled over three-fourths of the globe managing new projects.
He is survived by his wife Deorinda Amparo, Mindoro, Philippines; his son Mark & wife Jeannette Tansiongco with three grandchildren, Jarred, Megan, and Jenna Tansiongco; his son Chris Tansiongco; and his daughter Karen & husband Dr. Martin Youngs DDS, with two grandchildren Alton & Harper Youngs.
Vigil Service: Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home Sunday, February 10, 2019, 1:00 - 5:00 PM.
Memorial Service: St. Vincent de Paul, Monday, February 11, 2019 at 10:00 AM. Church open at 9:00 AM. Reception to follow.
