(Ret.)Technical Sergeant (TSgt) Albert L. Walker, Jr. departed this life on July 29, 2015. Services will be Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at 11:00 am at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Robert M. Castle, officiating and under the direction of Wells Funeral Home. Viewing Tuesday, August 4, 2015 from 6pm - 7pm at Wells Chapel, 811 Woods Street. Burial in Crestview Cemetery with Military Honors.

Albert Lee Walker Jr. was born December 2, 1935 to Albert Lee Walker Sr. and Geneva Walker in Petersburg, Virginia. He graduated from Peabody High school in Petersburg, Virginia. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Vocational Education from Wayland Baptist University and an Associate Degree in Business and Management from Vernon College. He proudly served in the Air Force for 23 years, as an instructor in aircraft jet engine mechanic teaching students how to repair jet engines on T37 and T38 aircrafts. He received many honors in the Air Force including two AF Accommodation Medals and a Bronze Star Medal. After retirement he worked as an aircraft mechanic at Northrup Cooperation. He was later employed with the 82nd Force Squadron at Sheppard Air Force Bowling Centers.

 Mr. Walker was a Christian man who loved his family and friends. He was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church where he was active, serving as the President of The Men's Choir, active in the Brotherhood and worked on the Finance Committee.

 Albert Lee Walker Jr was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Lee Walker Sr. and Geneva Walker; sister, Jeanette Lloyd and brother, James Walker.

 He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Geneva C. Walker, children, Karen Walker-Gates (Wesley, Sr.), Samuel Walker, Tommy Walker (Brandi), Derinda Stewart (Isaac), Alvita Walker Foster (Melvin), and Sheryl Ganges (Brian); brother, Percy Walker (Delilah), sisters, Vernell Jackson and Christine Harris; special friends, Thomas and Margaret Bursey; grandchildren,Ashley Gates, Wesley Gates Jr., Tiffany McKinney (Antonio), Lawrence McKinney, Al Walker, Kenedi Foster, Kaile Foster, Kendrick Foster, IKeisha Stewart, IKeena Stewart,  Genedra Trotter (Mike), Jennifer Foster, Marcus Foster, and Demetrius Stevenson; fifteen great grandchildren; a host of other friends and relatives.

 In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to Mount Pleasant Children's Ministry or The Hospice of Wichita Falls.
