Alberta "Bertie" I. (Mason) McCabe lived a life devoted to others, including her husband, children, family, and close friends. She faithfully served in the same career at Vine Street Hill Cemetery in Family Services for more than 45 years. Everyone she met considered her as family. She was a true friend. God gifted Bertie with the gift of unconditional love, comfort, and encouragement. She made an eternal difference in the lives of so many.

Even in the midst of life's greatest adversities, she always greeted life with a smile, a sense of humor, and endless optimism. Bertie was deeply rooted in her Christian faith. She loved spending time with family and friends, and enjoyed activities such as dining out, attending church, bowling, and traveling. She was truly one-of-a-kind, and we will carry her with us in our hearts, always. Thank you, Lord, for Bertie and a life well lived. Our angel is watching over us now from heaven.

She was born on October 21, 1942 and was a Cincinnati native. Bertie is survived by her two children Virginia "Ginny" McCabe and Garry (Sherrii) McCabe and her brother-in-law, Gene (Pam) McCabe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary McCabe, her in-laws, the late Virginia M. and Garl McCabe, her nephew, Brian McCabe, and her father, Albert Mason and brother, William "Billy" Mason.

Bertie passed on April 6, 2021 surrounded by family. Services will be held on Wednesday, April 14 with a visitation at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home at 10211 Plainfield Road, Cincinnati, OH 45241 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; followed by a service at 1 p.m. officiated by Pastor Dr. Keith O.
