It's about 10:50 am, soon to be 8 years at 11 am. I'll see her soon, that is the only thing that keeps me emotionally (somewhat) stable. I'm so glad she is resting, I don't know how she would have fared if she were here these days. Of course she would have been 102!

She sure liked her some Lay's potato chips, Channel #5 and baseball! She would have loved to see her new grandson, Gideon Shepherd Steele, Sean & Julee's son.

I wish I would have spent more time with you.

I'm so happy that I had such a wonderful Mom, a beautiful person inside and out.  Miss those Reader's Digest jokes!

Amy and I were just reminiscing about you the other day, about all those times, quality times, you were able to spend with your grandchildren and setting a good example of how one can be a true lover of Jehovah by being such a loving person to all. You were truly selfless thinking of others before yourself.

I don't think I EVER heard a complaint come out of your mouth. Wish I could live up to that example.

By the looks of things around me these days, I won't see you "just around the corner", it's more like, "at the threshold of the door".  I just gotta be strong.

See you 'in a minute', when Jehovah opens that door. forever your loving daughter, Lorna xoxoxo............

Still thinking about you gramma, and still laughing every time I do. Thanks for that, and I am looking forward to seeing you again, which seems closer every day!

I still think about Gramma every day and now her daughter, my wife, is looking more and more like her, so it is a reminder. Looking forward to the day when she will be young again and still making me laugh all the time!

Hardly a day goes by that I do not think of and grampa. You both lit up my families lives in ways no one else could do. Everyday as I think of you, a smile always come to me, remembering how you made me smile everyday when you were still with us. Yesterday I had a thought of seeing you again, young and healthy, and wondering if when I realized who you were, if I would still call you gramma? You bet! Love you, miss you, and no I am not out of breath!

(hmmmm not sure why the original one I wrote did not post, I'll try again)

Alena:

To me Alena can be described in these words; Loving, full of grace, steadfast, dignified, kind, non-judgmental, a true example for all, especially us sisters! So much enjoyed being in the same congregation as Alena. When I would show up every week, midweek, for service with my 2 year old for service she was always there and ready to help if I needed it, a true joy, Alena. When she wakes up, no doubt she will enjoy all the world filled with people displaying these same qualifies she already had a head start with! She is missed.

I so look forward to seeing you again, gramma. Your never ending good spirit lit up my day, even if you were asking me why I was out of breath. I cannot think of you without laughing, but that was just the way you were.

Love you and miss you, your favorite son in law!

We have so many great memories of your mom.  First time not celebrating Christmas.  Lonely day.  Call from the Smalls.  Come come for dinner.  Fresh fish and brown bread.  Other families over too.  Our first time being with our new family.  Such a great example of faithful service to Jehovah and his servants.  That was Dec of 1973.  Forever greatful for your mom knocking on my door to help me and Frank learn the truth.  Looking forward to seeing them again.
