I first met Alex in 2015 at my first large company event and was grateful for his humble, intelligent and approachable nature. More recently I had the privilege of working closely with Alex and his teams in South East Asia. Allowing me to experience firsthand his inclusive, empowering and savvy style. Alex personified great leadership, as well as being a fantastic human being in general.
Alex I will remember your legacy and am grateful for all you have done. I am sending sincere condolences and blessings to your family for their loss.

Dear Alex
You were a key part of the team that brought Sonepar to S.E. Asia through our first business initiative in Malaysia, the joint venture with KVC. However, I did not get to know you initially when I first joined the region, since at that time you were not directly involved with the KVC operating companies in 2011.
On joining the region I quickly identified the need to have a single person responsible for all of our businesses within S.E. Asia; one who would accept the challenges presented by the diversity of the businesses yet build on their synergies while recognizing the cultural needs of the area. That was no easy task as after many months of searching I came up empty-handed. However, you were recommended to me by two of your colleagues, Aaron Chen and Matthieu Raffestin, and on sitting down with you, I quickly came to the decision that you were the right person for this important role.
That was one of my best decisions. You quickly assessed the position and started forming S.E. Asia into one of the most productive and fastest growing areas in the region. Your business acumen, understanding of distribution, and most importantly your ability to communicate and lead people, quickly produced a dynamic team that others wanted to join. The acquisitions followed quickly.
You were a very active part of the Asia Pacific Management Team, bringing your unique talents to help guide us through some tough, busy and very hectic times. Most of all, you had that enigmatic smile that just seemed to let problems become simple challenges.
I will miss you Alex, and my deepest sympathy goes out to your family, friends, and colleagues of whom you thought so highly.
Sleep well my friend.
Keith

Dear Alex, I have had the honor to work very closely with your for more than 2 years. I will always remember you as a very fair, very smart, very talented leader that wanted to get things done and move the needle for SEA. You passed away so suddenly that none of us had a change to give you are last regards. It is not nice to die far away from your family and friends. Luckily enough we were able to bring you back home quickly. So we met again at your home, Your wife and daughters are impressive and are equally proud and sad. We could wish you luck in the next stage of your live. So I hope that most part of your soul and spirit will move to a great place. You have to allow us however to carry a bit of your soul in our hearts, so that you are with us al along our trail. I have the deepest respect and warmest sympathy for you Alex. R.I.P. my friend. Jo

My dear Alex,
I am thanksfull to life to make us meet. I feel lucky to have worked with you for 4 years, such a smart guy, such a great professional and at the same time a man with great values. You helped me a lot. You were like a bridge for me. You helped me in understanding Asian culture(s) and in my interactions with people.
I am thanksfull we had this wednesday afternoon for the two of us in Chantilly and that we could discuss shop and life... only the cold interrupted us at that time. It was quiet, we were alone, and we had time for once !
We were together as well when this picture of you was taken in Paris HQ. It was a good laugh and we concluded that none of us would never become a top model ! I like this picture of you, your smile and all the life I can feel in it ! It is you !
You told me one day that your kidney transplant was a second chance given to you by life... It was also a chance given to your friends, colleagues and family to enjoy your presence longer.
I hope you are now diving in a blue lagoon and enjoying the peace and tranquility of it.
I will miss your presence but you will stay with me forever.

Dearest Alex,
I still remember very clearly the first time we met in March 2016. I was in the company since few weeks and you told me about the great history of your SOA and explained me the decentralization in Sonepar from an APAC point of view. So useful for me.
And lately in Chantilly when we took the picture at the gala dinner with the rest of the team and we laughed and smiled all together.
We had a great time and everything you built will be carried on ....
We will miss the leader and the colleague, but we will most of all miss the man with solid values, serious professional, with a great sense of humor fond of life, fond and proud of his family, his wife and daughters. And all our thoughts are for them now.
Hard not to hear your voice anymore and see you, still your presence and your words are and will be with us every day.
Ciao Alex.

I have known Alex since 2014 when we did the Sonepar Leadership Program together. Since then numerous meetings, dinners and I especially remember a one hour discussion we had in Geneva at the beginning of the year. He was telling me he wanted to leave in two years maximum to do another step of his life with maybe his own business... So sad.. Last time I saw him was in Paris, he was eating in front of me at the table with the whole APAC people. Two days later we got that terrible news. I will remember a warm , simple (no ego issues with him), smiling and smart personality!

Alex has been a great teacher and mentor for me personally. He’s been very committed, decisive and supportive in pursuing great objectives with us from Opcos. He carries his work with common value of Sonepar and KVC and we all follow him as a great leader, respect him as a caring senior, love him as a brother. Let’s us miss him forever, fulfil his wishes, carry on with his good legacies.

I met Alex for the first time at the Sonepar Leaders Conference in France. I am new to Sonepar but was welcomed without reservation by Alex. It is totally ironic that on the final evening of the Conference I sat right next to Alex at the celebration dinner. During this 3 hours I discovered a man who was not only extremely knowledgeable and business savvy, but as a person, Alex was warm, encouraging, positive and an altogether very nice guy. Clearly he placed his family and friends as the foundation of his life but also it was clear the passion he had for Sonepar. Alex passes with the highest of respect and sincere thoughts and support to his family and friends. He will be missed but his memory never forgotten for who he was.

To Dear Alex,
Although having knowing you for only a few months, your compassion, calm character and the professional spirits have deeply impressed me. I have enjoyed the time working, having meeting and drinking together with you.
The last time I saw you at the Chantilly hotel lobby in the Friday afternoon, you told me that you were going to transit at Istanbul. You had never been to the city and you wanted to see the city before you went home. The news came to me too shocking and too sad.
I wish you have peace in the heaven. You will be remembered.
