My dad was born on Monday, October 25, 1943, in Los Angeles, CA. He was the middle child and only boy. My dad was named after his dad (my grandfather). My dads older sister Jenny was 3 years old when my dad was born. The Ortiz family lived in a working class neighborhood. My dad attended St. Alphonsus grammar school in E.L.A. My dad loved playing cowboys and Indians as well as cops and robbers with his neighborhood friends as well as his cousins whom he was very close too. Little did anyone know including my dad  that someday he would play real cops and robbers.
