Alex,
You will be truly missed. I will miss that beautiful that shined through that smile. I will miss our talks at lunch and how you were a vegetarian part time and that wonderful chicken dip you always make. You were a great nurse and a delight to work with. May your soul rest in eternal peace.

I was lucky enough to be Alex's preceptor on the CCU when she was a summer student nurse resident. She was smart, kind, and funny--brought me energy drinks as a gift on her last day! So sorry for your loss, and the loss of a fantastic and talented nurse.

I am so sorry for your loss. I had the privilege of having Alex during her senior practicum in the CPCU. She was such a delight as a nursing student. She had such a big heart and was so caring, always with a smile! She always wanted to learn and was such a hard worker. She is very missed. <3

I am still trying to make sense of this horrible tragedy. I am so sorry for your loss. Alex was an incredible coworker, a smart nurse with so much potential. She was always smiling with a laugh so distinctive it made me happy to hear. It is unfathomable that this could happen to an individual so young and so loved. <3 Katie Jones, NP at UMMC

I had the honor of working briefly with Alex in the CCU when she was still a student. My thoughts are with you in this time of great loss - this is truly tragic and I hope that good memories may bring you some peace.

I worked with Alex over the past few years at UMMC. Every time I walked through the unit, whether I was just passing through or seeing one of her patients, she always greeted me with a warm smile and a hello. Just an amazing personality, hard worker, and a nurse who had tremendous potential. Our thoughts are with you as you grieve during difficult times. Alex will be missed on inpatient cardiovascular medicine.

My name is Martin and I am a member of the physical therapy team at University of Maryland, and had the opportunity to work with Alex‘s patients on multiple occasions. She was a great nurse, and a very sweet and caring young woman. Bob and Whitney, I'm completely heartbroken for you and what you must be going through. Although I did not know Alex firsthand, she was in my son Dan's graduating class at Damascus. I can tell from all the outpouring of love here that it is my loss too to have never met her. She obviously made an indelible, positive mark on our world. Many prayers and love to you both.

I'm a resident who worked with Alex a few months back - she made a very tough rotation much easier and more enjoyable. She was a great nurse and a great person - always offered a smile and a sympathetic ear during a rough day. Truly so sorry for your loss, and sending you love and warmth.

Alex was a treasure. I loved her infectious smile that was always at the ready when she was hanging with Marissa. The picture stuck in my head is one of her with a big float in our pool, grinning from ear to ear.  I will always remember her for the way she seemed to embrace life as an adventure.  Kate Turner (Marissa's Mom)
