A year has passed since you left this earth. It has been hard.
There are times when i feel i am ok, and i'm actually not.
Yesterday my girls pulled some pictures off the fridge and amoungst them was the birth notice you sent us when Apolline arrived into the world. Of all the days for it to fall at my feet it was yesterday and i could not hold back the tears. I love and miss you Alexis.
Your passing was a dot in an amazing line of memories and for that i am grateful that i can ook over all the memories we made, not just the sad end.
Thank you for showing us all how to live life to the fullest.

Je viens d'apprendre la triste nouvelle... On ne s'était finalement connu que peu de temps mon copain des îles... mais s'il existe un coup de foudre amical, je crois que c'est ce qu'il s'est passé entre nous. Merci pour ta gentillesse, ta générosité.
Si je ne devais garder qu'un souvenir de toi ce serait celui-ci : cette clope partagée avec toi à deux mètres d'un grand alba et de son poussin, le soleil couchant et le vent de Crozet dans la gueule... un moment de paix et d'éternité ...

Alexis tu aimais voyager te voilà partie pour l'ultime voyage, et nous étions nombreux sur le quai pour te souhaiter bon voyage. tu voulais aussi laisser une trace et bien tu laisses un sillon dans nos coeurs, tu voulais vivre jusqu'à 100 ans tu vivras éternellement en nous . merci d'avoir semé en nous les graines de l'espoir, de l'humilité, de l'amour et de l'optimisme. Allez bonne route je ne te dis pas d'appeler lorsque t'arrives

We were all so sad to learn about what happened to him,
Now, he is with the angels, but surely he would have wanted to live
more on this earth, more adventure, more life. Hope he will continue

Lasagna
15 years ago Alexis taught me how to make lasagna. He always loved good food and shared generous meals with friends. Since then I always use his recipe and it's a succes everytime ;). today I made a big pot of lasagna thinking about him. He will stay in my life forever.

Alexis m'a appris il y a une 15aine d'années à faire les lasagnes. Depuis ce jour j'utilise toujours sa recette et son "coup de main" et c'est toujours un grand succées. Il aimait la bonne bouffe entre copain et était extrémement généreux. Aujourd'hui j'ai fait un grand plat de lasagna en pensant fort à lui.
