FALLEN LIMB.
I was diminished when your light went out,
And my heart was left as an empty vessel by your absence.
You now walk in heaven's light,
Surrounded by God's love with Angels song on the scented air
Wuod Koderobara.
Ka'Amolo mourns,
K'ochola is mourning,
a limb has fallen,
from the family tree.
Perhaps, a main branch.
Our pillar you were, a mentor, a counsellor, a friend, a father, and a symbol of unity....
Yaani this time, we've been hit hard
Shall the springs cheerful flowers bring life a new,
And allow me to forget the agony of missing you?
Will springs burst of new life bring fresh hope
And teach my grieving soul how to cope?
It hurts that you're not here with us but dancing with the Angels above.
I pause, and remember the memories we shared when we visited your farm in kitale,
And for a moment, i escape to a serene happy place,
Remembering the laughter and all you would do,
Cherishing the honest, caring, loving spirit of you.
God has you in his keeping, and we have you in our hearts.
For all the remaining seasons of our lives on earth,
There'll be days my family will miss your merriment and mirth
And moments we'll sadly long for yestedays.
Missing our visits and your sense of humour,
And above all the best times, the laughter, and the jovial life you lived, not forgetting the mombasa visits.
Omejo, iwewa malit!
Until we journey to that peaceful shore and see you again.
Until we meet again wuod Ochola K'Amolo
May you have a peaceful rest.
