For long, I fear the day would come, I knew it must come sooner or later. Atinshola omo Ajibike has gone to join her ancestors.

I am a product of many strong women but the contribution of Atinshola is fundamental forever. In grief, I found meaning and thus comfort in all of the blessed memories we shared - both of the true love and courage, struggles and bravery, and all of pains and joy - I will cherish them in the petals of my heart.

My love - Ati
My woman - Atíńshọlá
My special woman - Ati
My superwoman - Atíńshọlá

Brave, strong, courageous, loving
Sublisimo!
Irreplaceable!

Thank you for everything Grandma.

her Life

Atinshola's Early Years

Alice Atinshola, 105, of Alaja, Akinyele Local Government (LG) of Ibadan Oyo State, peacefully left us, surrounded by family and friends on September 15th, 2020.

In 1915, Atinshola was born into the family of James and Ajibike Agunbiade, being the first of the 8 children of the family. That was exactly during World War 1, a remarkable event in world history. Following this, she spent her childhood with her parents in the small neighbourhood of Alaja village, and the later development with her paternal grandmother, Idowu Foyake Agunbiade, at Omilabu village in Akinyele LG.
