Happy birthday
I was just saying to Trevor how long it's been since you passed. Time goes quickly here on earth. I miss you still and one day I will say it to you in person . Love you more with each passing year. Everyone is fine we have a new addition to the family Bailey and he's a character. I suppose you already have seen him. Josh is good and everyone is just living there lives but you will always be a part of it. Love you .

No words can express how much i miss you
You were my aunt, mum and best friend.
I have lots of memories to keep me smiling
Heres my poem to you.

I have never met anyone who loved life like you
Who smiled to the end something i could never do
So strong and brave no matter what
Your strength i havent got
I looked to you for problems to solve or comfort me when i was down
I miss you so very much now you are not around
My tears still fall when i think of you, i never thought i would be without you.

Her Life

War years

December 23, 2020
  1. Alice was born in Farnworth to Fred and Annie kelly. She was the eldest of 4 siblings. When she was 7 years old the war broke out between England and Germany and she told a story of how she walked around carrying a gas mask to school and any activities she attended. She remembers going to air raid shelters with her family and listening to the whizzing sounds of the bombs dropping from the sky. She remembered rations and how her mother baked from scratch and that her father had the yolk of an egg and the children had the white. She remembered having a friend who lived in a big house at the bottom of her street, and the grandmother who lived there was dressed in black and stared at you when you came knocking. How frightening she was to a little girl. She use to play out all day and hated it when she had to go home.
  2. Alice had two younger sisters and everywhere Alice went she had to take them with her, the friends use to say why have you brought them again Alice was furious so she once asked her mother and she said your taking them and thats that. You always did what your parents said and that was that.
