HER JOURNEY'S JUST BEGUN

Don't think of her as gone away
her journey's just begun
life holds so many facets-
this earth is only one...

Just think of her as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.

Think how she must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.

and think of her as living
in the hearts of those she touched...
for nothing loved is ever lost-
and she was loved so much. 

My mother was the second child of 11 born to Julian and Nicolasa Aguirre. She had six sisters and 4 brothers. She would have five children of her own. My mother was very a loving and caring person. She loved family gatherings. She loved being with her family and grandkids. I was blessed to have such a beautiful woman to be my mother. I know that she suffered through out her life. She lost her first son in 1953, but she carry on because of her four other children. She would suffer many deaths within her family. (father, mother, husband, another son and one daughter) I know this was hard for her, but she would keep her head up high. I know God knew she was tired and decided that it was time for her to be at peace. I know that she's finally surrounded by her family that went before her. I know that my mother is by my side watching over me.The last time that she was in the hospital, I remember telling her that I loved her and her response was "but I loved you first". This I will always carry in my heart.
