Alison was a very kind lady and very unique with her kindness.
Alison worked for Bristol Women's Aid; she was highly valued and respected by the staff and the women she helped and was also on the radio and interviewed many times to raise awareness of the difficulties faced by women and their children in dire circumstances.
Alison gained many qualifications including in palliative care and mental health and her last job was in a unit looking after people with challenging behaviour.  She really loved her job, was brilliant in challenging situations, calm in a crisis, everyone went to her for help and advice. Such a kind and thoughtful person, Alison was determined to give people opportunities they wouldn't otherwise have.  When she was working at a home in Brislington, knowing that Royal Mail do charitable work, she arranged for them to provide a minibus for Steve her partner to drive and they took  people from the home out on trips to Longleat and for meals at Christmas. A wonderful mother to three Children and a wonderful Grandmother to ten Grandchildren. Alison always made her loved ones feel special.
Alison truly was a lovely lady, so kind, considerate and compassionate, thoughtful in putting everyone else before herself.  Before she was ill, she quite literally never stopped and was constantly "on the go"; she was a little dynamo, one in a million, her family's angel and she is and will be so very sorely missed by all.
