Allen Eugene Cash, 80, a lifetime resident of Granville County passed Thursday, August 2, 2012 at his home.

A native of Granville County, the son of the late Jacob Eugene and Mary Allen Cash.  He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and a retired painter of fifty years.

Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 5, 2012 in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Creedmoor by Dr. Marc Tilley and Rev. Tommy Robertson.  Burial will be in the Creedmoor Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife of fifty six years, Sally Wilkerson Cash of the home, a daughter, Lisa Cash of Creedmoor, two sons, Jacob A. Cash, Sr. (Lettie Ann), Edward E. Cash (Virginia), both of Oxford, two sisters, Ethel Mae Mangum of Creedmoor, Barbara Jean Clay of West Virginia, one brother, Algin L. Cash of Creedmoor, nine grandchildren and one great grandson.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Frances C. Duke, four brothers, J. Melvin Cash, Marvin C. Cash, Robert D. Cash, John R. Cash and a son Roland Hutson.

Visitation will be held from 7:00 – 8:30 PM, Saturday Evening, August 4, 2012 at the Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and other times at the home.
