ForeverMissed

This memorial website was to honor the memory of Alma Ann Smith, who was murdered at the age of only 19 by Gary Ridgway, the "Green River killer" in Seattle, Washington State.

Born on August 1, 1964, in Walla Walla, Alma dropped out of school at about age 17 and went back and forth between Seattle, where her father lived, and Walla Walla, where her mother resided.  Her full life story is on the "Her Life" link of this website.

The webmaster is of no relation to the family, but she wanted Alma to be remembered for being a kind and generous young woman, who, though she was troubled, had many friends and was loved by all of them.  Ridgway cut short a life that could have been turned around; no doubt Alma would have stopped living the "street life" on her own, but he made sure she would never achieve that opportunity.

Rest in peace, Alma.

Hi Mikki,

I remember when I last saw Alma. It was at camp whooten in 6th grade which was the camp all 6th graders went to up in the mountains. Mikki, I was sad when you came over and told me what happened. She was a good person and I'm sure she became an angel that has watched over you. Sorry for your loss and I'm sure you still miss her.

Alma and I were friends for our High School years. She was a caring and loving soul and she always put a smile on my face. She stayed with us many nights and went camping with us too. When I heard Alma was on of the girls murdered by that SOB, an extreme sadness filled my heart, to loose a friend like that is unimaginable. Rest In Peace my friend, until we meet again

Alma was not born in Walla Walla this is crap not fact writing. If you who Loved Alma want a page let's do it the way Alma would have wanted it these people did not write this in her best interest they did it for their own selfish reasons. To promote their own agenda to bring awareness to teen prostitution.

My friend, Alma, was loved by so many of her friends. Watching the news at my moms house when they announced "ALMA" body being found and identified as another victim of the Green River Killer. I couldn't believe what I heard until I looked up and seen her picture. I cried and was in shock that one of my funny, big hearted and loyal friend had been murdered. To this day...I still remember the fun times we had together! Alma, you're LOVED and NEVER Forgotten! You're in a much happier place. I'll be seeing you again my friend! <3

I spent one summer hanging out with Alma. We went to Memorial pool every day and swam. We talked about the boys we were "in love " with. She was my best friend that summer. She moved away after that summer. I was lucky enough to see her when she came to town for a short visit shortly before she was killed. She was so full of life. May you rest in peace my dear friend.

I met Alma when I was fourteen yrs old in 1980. I lived in
Clarkston Wa. I was sent to the Walla Walla detention center. there I met Alma. We liked each other, after four days I was released. We shared a farewell kiss. I wrote her later with no response. I never heard of her again, until I saw the story of the GRK. I am so sorry.
