Her Life
November 23, 2015

Alma Rillis Gachett was born to the late Boston T. Gosha and Ovell Faulk Gosha on May 23,
1947. She accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Perote First Baptist Church.
Faithfully, she served on the usher board and as a member of the choir.

Alma excelled academically as a high school student and graduated with honors in the class of
1966. She later went to pursue secretarial training after moving North in search for a career.
Alma strongly believed that being a friend, one must show one’s self-friendly. She was often
seen being helpful and caring towards others, and never met a stranger no mater the event or
crowd. She made everyone feel welcomed.

Alma Rillis had several hobbies. She was known to be one of the best cooks of her siblings and
especially known for her homemade biscuits. Also, Alma devoted her time to the local school
system as a substitute teacher. Towards the end of her journey on this Earth, she chose to become
a volunteer at Southern Springs Nursing Home in Union Springs, Alabama.
Alma was the epitome of a considerate, caring and compassionate person toward the least of
them all.

On Wednesday, November 11, 2015, her Master beckon for her and sweetly declared it was time
to come in out of the storm. It was time to hasten to that eternal pavilion prepared for the one
who loves the Lord.

Alma's life will be cherished through the legacy of her five daughters: Mechelle Nickens,
Marshall (Quintin) Blakely, Jessica (Eugene) Larkins, Nicole Gachett, and Krystal Gachett;
