Alton “Ray” Bunch, 62, a longtime resident of Granville County passed away Monday, December 3, 2018 at his home.
He was born February 8, 1956 in Nash County, the son of late Wayland Alton Bunch and Mildred Davis Bunch.  Ray was of the Baptist faith and worked in sales for over twenty years, recently working for Frito Lay but spent most of his working life as a salesman with Wonder Bread.
Memorial services will be conducted at 7:00 PM Thursday, December 6, 2018 in the Eakes Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Steve Brown.  Burial will be private.
Surviving are his wife, Frances Bunch of the home; a son, Chris Bunch (Lisa) of Wilton; a granddaughter, Felicia Bunch and two grandsons, Tyler and Taylor Bunch; a sister, Barbara Baker (Gregory) of Rocky Mount, a brother, Danny Bunch (Coo-Coo) of Pine Bluff; two step-sons, William McDonald of Stem, Greg McDonald (Patricia) of Youngsville; and his dog “Smokie”.
Visitation will be held prior to the Memorial Service from 5:00 – 6:45 PM at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and at other times at the home.
Omission of flowers is requested and memorials may be made to The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center, 20 Duke Medicine Circle Clinic, Durham, NC  27701.
