Alyce was born February 8, 1933 to Herbert and Martha(Meyer)Koglin, on the family farm south of Scribner, NE.She was baptized at St. John's Ridgeley Lutheran Church and confirmed at United Lutheran Church in Scribner, NE. She attended Scribner Public Schools. Alyce married Donald Heller on December 28, 1950. She had 8 children. The couple traveled and moved a lot with Don's jobs and lived in places such as Great Falls, MT, Scottsbluff, NE and Cheyenne, WY. Alyce lived in different areas of Fremont. Alyce worked in her early years at the Nebraska Ordnance Plant at Mead, NE, was a waitress, then did setting up and selling photo sessions with Olan Mills, she later was employed at Western Electric, worked part time for the Bennington Public Schools, at Pendleton Woolen Mills in Fremont, for Schuyler Packing Plant and for Beches Home Health Care. Alyce divorced Donald in 1984. She married Richard Vetick on February 6, 1998. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hooper, NE and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary in Fremont. Alyce enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going dancing and cooking. She loved having her family together for big cookouts and parties, and attending grandkids and great grandkids school programs, sporting events and activities. She was a great mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
