Alyssa Nichole Dennis LUBBOCK-Alyssa Nichole Dennis passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014. We will gather to celebrate her life of 27 years at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers at 6025 82nd St., Lubbock, TX. After the celebration, there will be a reception in the chapel. A private burial will later follow at the Hancock family cemetery in Lamesa, Texas. Alyssa Nichole was born on Dec. 21, 1986, to Ray and Debbie Hancock Dennis in Lubbock, Texas. She earned a Masters in Library Science from UNT, and a B.A. from TTU after graduating from Frenship High School. She was kind and considerate of all. She loved to read, listen to music, making and looking at art, being creative, watching movies and television, playing video games, having friends online from around the world, but most of all, she loved to learn. She was conscientious about the Earth and protecting her natural resources. She was open to all religious beliefs from across the world. Survivors include her parents, Ray and Debbie Hancock Dennis; brother, Christopher Allyn Dennis; maternal grandmother, Louise Hancock of Farwell; paternal grandparents, Marshal and Ruth Basham of Hico; uncles, Sam Maserang and wife Jane of Hico, Mac W. Hancock III and wife Pam of Houston; Ron Hancock and wife Amy of Houston; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Mac W. Hancock Jr.; paternal grandfather, Raymond Dennis; uncles, Mike Maserang and Pat Basham; and aunt, Barbara Malm.

Please find comfort is knowing that there is hope for our loved ones who have passed away. Jehovah God promises at John 5:28, 29 that "the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". Alyssa is being remembered not just on this webpage, but more importantly, she is remembered by Jehovah.
