Ukamaka!.....hmmm, how does one even begin to write a tribute to you? You were still so young, so full of life with so much love to give. We barely had time to react to the news of your ill health and then you were gone! Oh death! where is thy sting? I remember our days back in FGGC Onitsha when you were my cousin, Uzo Ofomata (of blessed memory) bunkmate.....your mischievous self, always playing pranks on everyone. Your laughter would always light up the atmosphere. I recall the last time we saw about 8 years ago, how easy it was to reconnect as though time never passed. Nne, you came, you saw & you conquered. Je nke oma, please give my love to Uzo when you see her in heaven. We're constantly praying for your mum as she passes through what must be a most trying time for any parent. May God grant her the fortitude to bear the loss of her precious daughter. Rest in peace my sister!

Amaka just like that ... Words fail me but whatever the tides, my bible has thought me to say that it is well.

My professional colleague, fun lover, Ada Emma Njinaka , my only consolation is that you ran your race well. May God continue to repose your soul while he gives your aged Mum and and all of us the fortitude to contain this tragedy.

Rest Well Nnukwu Lawyer

Amaka, the shock that came over me when I heard the news of your death is yet to be flushed out of my system.

The short time you stayed with me when you relocated from Lagos to Abuja really brought me closer to see the stuff you were made of.

We went to Court together and your advocacy was second to none

Your were domesticated and thorough in the things you handled.

May the good Lord grant you rest in the bossom of your maker
Good night and farewell till we meet to part no more.

My CityHill Lawyer,
I'm yet to understand this departure. Mentioned it to my kids and my eldest said "You would have planned to call her earlier" and that struck a chord. I wish I had heard your voice just once more. You called to Congratulate me on the award and wished I could come; even after years of not seeing it speaking, you picked up where we left off years ago...that's the sweetheart you are. For the doors you opened for me while I lived in Abuja, I thank you, for the opportunities you gave me I thank you, for the nights we chatted on BBM (... about everything and nothing ) I thank you and for letting me into your ever vibrant and warm space I will forever be grateful.
Now dear sister rest.

Amaka (aka Masky as you were fondly known by your colleagues) it was a shock to hear that you were no longer with us. We are still shaken by the news.

We are grateful to God for the beautiful memories of your life that you shared with the world. We pray that God will comfort the hearts of everyone you left behind.

Rest in the everlasting arms of God.

Masky, you are one of those lady that can do things for others without thinking twice. When you put your mind to success, you do it exceptionally well. I love your spirit of honesty, dedication and integrity. You are not coward by what people say because you know what you want in life and you purse that with zeal. During our secondary school days, you never shy away from challenges. When we later met in Abuja, you were really welcoming and loving just like the same masky that I knew. You are a blessing to womanhood because no woman that comes around you ever remains the same. You are a blessing to womanhood. God's rest your soul sister and all that you did during your life journey will speak for you. We love you but God love you more. Adieu our loving and caring sister. Words can't be enough to say who you are but those you touched their lives can attest to your person. Missing you sister. Till we meet to part no more Masky.

Masky! Nne, I don't know what to say. I am speechless, devastated, angry & confused. I never saw this coming. Onwu emego m ife! Masky, you proved true sisterhood to me. You put me in any group I would benefit... even when I complain, you'd say "Nne stay there, I know why I put you in this group".
You fought my fight, defended me, carried my burdens, paid my debts, cried my cry. You were simply MY SISTER. You cheered me when I got it right & was fast to rebuke me when I misfire. My sickness was your sickness. You talked, fought, prayed, encouraged me till I was back to life....And then you left me without saying goodbye....uwa nkea sef...
Barr. Amaka! Masky! Asam!
Sleep on beautiful angel.
I love you always & forever.

Hmmmm!!! How does one begin to write a tribute in honour of Amaka? Full of life. All the while we planned to do some Covid-19 business I had no idea there was a problem whatsoever with your health. The shock of your death is too deep to fathom. All I can do is pray that the Blood of Jesus speaks mercy on your behalf as we all deserve mercy. Rest in the bosom of the LORD. And may the Comforter strengthen your mum at such a time as this. Difficult as it is, the Bible says IN ALL things we should give thanks. Thank God for the life you lived, the lives you touched, the impact you made within the short time you spent on earth. To God alone be all the glory. Adieu my friend and sister. The memory of the righteous is blessed.
