Her Life

Another loss

June 1, 2011

Carl "Jack" Perry passed away in Feb. 2011 in Community Hospice of Jacksonville Florida. He slipped into his final sleep with his sister, Vicki Lynn, close by. His wife and several children had visited him shortly before he passed. While his life may not have been the norm to many, it was what he knew to do. He will be missed by many but understood only by a few. May God keep him always now.

Amanda was born on April 20, 1928 to Minnie (Steele) and George Cook, in Silver Point, Tennesse.

Her life was not an easy one and many times she voiced her desire to turn the hands of time back. However, she prodded through life meeting and helping many along the way. Often she would say, "life is just like a long stemmed rose, you are bound to get stuck at some point".

In her passing she left behind, three children, Carl Perry of Jacksonville Florida, Walter Conley (wife, Twila) and Vicki (husband, Stephen) Tate of Richmond Indiana and a step-son Duane Coffey (wife, Joyce) of Liberty Indiana as well as her fifteen grand children, many great grandchildren, cousins and friends.

She was preced in death by both her parents, her husband Hewey, her daughter Lula Mae Durham, and two stillborn sons.

Burial is at the Earlham Cemetery in Richmond Indiana, near a soft running brook, under a large shade tree. Her soul has moved on to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ. She will be sadly missed by many but never forgotten
