At the age of 5, Amanda was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called rhabdomyosarcoma. Her odds of surviving this cancer were given at 10 to 15%. We didnt give up and my baby won, sort of, she beat the odds. Unfortunately,  in beating the odds, the chemotherapy and radiation did horrible things to her body. She became a type 1 diabetic, liver failure, heart failure, kidney failure, bone infections and many other illnesses. Recently she was diagnosed with yet another rare disease called calciphylaxis.  This would be the final fight my baby fought. All the years of illness weakened her body and she was not able to fight this! She tried, even after being told the odds are less than 10% she would survive. She fought. She fought a good fight. The toll on her body showed and my baby reached up to God who calmly brought her home!! Many years of fighting, she is now at peace and strong once again!!
