Ambrose "Butch" Alvarado, 75, of Lafayette passed away on Thursday August 24, 2017 at his home. He was born July 26, 1942 in Taft, Texas to the late Valentine Rosales and Selestine Alvarado.
He was a veteran of the US Navy serving from 1960 to 1964. On January 28, 1964 he married Alma Woods and she survives. Butch worked at Fairfield Manufacturing for 30 years and retired in 2003
Surviving with his wife are his children Ambrose (Stacey) Alvarado Jr., Celestina (MIke) Graves, Maria T. Alvarado all of Lafayette and 7 grandchildren. Also surviving are 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Ambrose was preceded in death by a great grandson and a sister.
Visitation will be from 5:00pm until the time of the memorial service at 7:00pm on Tuesday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckeham Blvd
