Father, grandfather, and husband

Ambrose Umunna Odiari, passed away at his residence at No. 1 Patrick Iweanya Street Asaba in his 81st year on Thursday, May 30, 2019. He was born on 7th December 1938 in Enugu, Nigeria.

Dr. A. U. Odiari lived in Manchester and Leeds in the United Kingdom, Ohio in the United States of America, Enugu, Onitsha, Nnewi, Owerri, and Asaba in Nigeria. Dr Odiari was well known for his involvement and long service in education management and in academic tertiary institutions in Nigeria, and he wrote nine published academic books.

He was united in marriage in Lancashire UK on January 5th 1964 to former Ophthalmic Nurse Catherine Ngozi Okeke. He was also united in marriage in Onitsha Nigeria on 15th March 1982 to the former Dr. Laura Okuanata Onubogu.

Dr. A. U. Odiari is survived by five sons, Brian of Slough UK, Eusebio of Leeds/London UK, Ian of Dallas USA, Ambrose Jnr. of Ohio USA, and James of Ohio USA, ; and three daughters Sheila of London UK, Uche of Ohio USA, and Linda of Ohio USA. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.

Interment: Saturday 3rd August 2019.
