"Ms. Mia" worked for our YMCA in the afterschool program before she was old enough to lead a group. She worked the check out desk at one of the schools and greeted parents and called for children to go home.

Once she was old enough, she eagerly joined the ranks of camp counselor during one of the most trying seasons in childcare history: Summer 2020.

Her empathy and caring spirit made her a natural fit for the role, and we were so lucky to have her.

We miss you, Ms. Mia, and hope you rest in peace and love.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Mia and I would talk everyday at lunch and she was just the nicest and sweetest kid. She was always so kind to my son and always had a smile on her face. My heart hurts for you and your family. Thank you Lord for sharing sweet Mia with us. She will be missed but I find comfort her soul is with the Lord.

Mia and my son went to prom together their junior year in high school. When i met her we thought she was just a sweet nice young lady. She told us how she mowed grass to make money and I was like I love it. She was so talkative on the way to dinner. Every time I seen her at school she will smile so big and tell me hi!!! You will forever be in my heart. Rest in love young lady.

Mrs Lee I recall meeting this beautiful young lady during her summer program at UAB. I was very impressed with her drive and humbleness. She and her friend were so manageable and sweet. I am praying for comfort ,peace ,and restoration . The Earth has no sorrow  that heaven can not bear. May God keep you and your family during this time of bereavement. My sincere condolences anlove to you sweet lady. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
