My Daddy was born in Glasgow, Scotland on December 10th, 1920 to Andrew Alexander Dickson and Thomasina (Gibson) Dickson. He was about 3 years old when he came to America. He met my Mom in 1941 and married my Mom on June 12th, 1943. My Daddy was drafted into the Army during World War 2. He served as a Medic in Japan, New Guinea, and the Phillipines. He contacted malaria while in the Phillipines. My Daddy was Honorably Discharged in 1945. I was born on June 19,1947. My Brother Andy was born on June 14, 1950. My Daddy worked hard for us for many years before he retired. We always had the best my Mom &  Dad could give us. I felt so helpless when my Dad got cancer, and how he went through his treatments for it. My Daddy went to the Sacred Heart Cancer Home at 13th & Hunting Park Ave. My Daddy went there from Northeastern Hospital on Friday July 22, 1994. My daddy passed on Wednesday July 27,1994. I love and miss you so much Daddy. Till we meet again love your daughter Carole.
