It's been 9 years since I've shared a birthday weekend with you. It's not the same without you. I miss sharing a cake with you and being at Dora lake. I've started to realize why I dislike my birthday week. Not only do we share that week, but you're not here. I miss you so much dad. I can't believe you would have been 51. Such an old man lol.

I started a new job and I've made friends. I'm actually going out tonight to have a few drinks with them. I'll have a few for you, dad.

Love you and miss you lots.

The angel above us

August 14, 2014

Up there in heaven,
Way up high,
Where the angels live,
And God resides.
Lives an amazing angel
Here on earth he was the most
Caring father any daughter
And son
Could ask for.
With Andrew as his name
The rivers runs quielty without
His physical prescence near.
In heaven where he rests with his
Guard dog beside him
Up in heaven where
He shall live on
His day to be.

With love and fond memories,
Lisa, Aaron & France

fun times

December 29, 2013

when ever my uncle was around it was never a dull moment..i remeber when i was 6 or 7 he brought a dog named king over to my memeres house and was showing off all the  things king  could do such as jumping high in the air ect,  i can rember laughing so much...my uncle was always a dog lover and would tell me lil things here and there to help me with my dogs.

he was always there making kids laugh the last time all 4 of my kids seen him, they were all being shy and not saying much well like my aunt sylvia said he got on his hands a feet to get amys attion and it really did work..he also took out cookies and icecream out of his lil fridge just to get them to talk.

i rember how much he would playfully pick on me for having wild red&purple hair or what i was wearing. sometimes it would annoy me other time i would find it funny...but now i miss his playfullness..he was a true big kid at heart..there are so many other storys that come to mind when i think of him..all in all he was a great man, a fighter to the end. lisa is right he was & is a hero.

we love and miss you uncle andrew

LIVE, LAUGH, LOVE!!!!

December 29, 2013

LIVE LAUGH LOVE!!!!!

I believe I speak for many when I say that Andrew was an outgoing, fun-loving kind of man. From the time I knew him, right to the end of his life on earth, he liked to live, laugh and love.

Children, who live by instinct, loved him. He was a kind and sensitive man who would help anyone who needed it, especially his family. He was talented in many ways and was not afraid to use his knowledge to help others.

He was a courageous, hard working man who took the time to go back to school so he could further develop his talents and better provide for his family. As France describes him, he was a loving and affectionate husband and father. He was Aaron’s buddy and Lisa describes him as her hero.

What is truly unforgettable about Drew was how he fought to keep his body and spirit alive. Despite his illness he lived longer than anticipated by doctors, and despite the pain he made it his mission to kiss and hug everyone that came by to see him.

About a week and a half ago, he even went down on all fours so he could get 3 year old Amy’s attention. Needless to say, he succeeded.

Drew not only entertained children, he entertained adults as well. In one instance, about a month ago,  he had decided to join my uncle Marc for a walk outside around the hospital. They noticed a helicopter and Drew surprised everyone there by leaning on the walker he was using, he pulled down his pants and flashed a mooner.  I wasn’t there, but I tell you the story will make me laugh for years to come.

His thoughts  spoke loud and clear through his actions. Life is short. He would want us all  to continue living by his motto: Live, laugh and love.
