His Energy

April 1, 2023
Miller and I went through the Fire Academy with Vancouver Fire in 2011. I recently went through another academy and was filled with memories of Andrew yet again. Andrew came to work with a young, exited and fun energy everyday. I don’t know if it was the high dose of caffeine running through his veins from supplements like no explode or redline, but he was always jacked up. He had a gift of knowing how to lighten the mood with his quick witted humor. He also took his training and development pretty seriously, striving to make our instructors proud. He was hard on himself when he made mistakes but in the end learned from them and moved on. I’ll always wish I’d had more time with my brother Miller and will continue to miss him. Prayers for peace as we all think back on his life today. Andrew Miller, God willing I’ll see you in the next life my friend.
All glory to God forever and ever, Amen.
Gratefully,
Jason Stearn

Never Forgoten

August 18, 2020
Hi Andrew,
Im writing you today to let you know that I have not and will not let the memory of my good friend Andrew Miller fade way. Today you would have turned 32 years of age. No telling what you would have been doing, who you would have been surrounded by or where you would be. I do know that I would have made every effort to be a part of your special day, to celebrate you and all that is Andrew Miller. I think about you from time to time, every time feeling the loss. I feel you looking down and laughing at all that we focus on in the world and you having more peace inside your soul in the kingdom of heaven. If it is God's will, I hope to see you again and I will continue to honor you until then.
Love and Miss you Andrew Miller,
Jason Stearns

The Dash

September 3, 2016

A very good friend gave me a book titled "The Dash"  by LInda Ellis, This book is a great read.  Puts into focus why we are here on earth.  While reading this book I couldn't help but apply it to Andrew's life.  He truly lived for "The Dash"  So proud of the man he became.

From Child to Outstanding Adult

April 9, 2016

I haven't seen Andrew since he was a child... but from his Aunt Paula, I know that he became an outstanding and impressive man.

I'm so sorry his life was cut short before society was able to benefit from his gifts and qualities.

I also want to thank Trevor for his military service.

So much sympathy for Andrew's family. And for the Vancouver firefighters who will miss him.

April 4, 2016

September 25, 2012 the day Andrew got to anxiously watch up close and personal as the Seahawks beat the Packers, 14-12! It was a bad call, I'll give him that still! But nothing beats getting to see his reaction. It was a tuff day for any cheese head in a land of Seahawks fans! The boos as we walked out the stadium that day, and the sympathetic apologies to me for being a Seahawks fan with him were priceless! Everyone knows how much he loved his Pack!

You Could Count on Miller

April 4, 2016

Andrew never missed an opportunity to help a brother out. Never an excuse or a reply of him being too busy. He helped me move more than once, remodel my current home and cracked me up every time. True Friend

Miss You Miller

April 4, 2016

In this shot Andrew is front row, second in from the left. This was while we were in the Fire Academy during a 9/11 memorial event. As recruits we would go to every event, study together regularly and help eachother suceed in whatever they threw at us. For those in the fire service this is a time where some of your closest bonds in life are formed. Miller was wicked smart, worked hard and was always there for you when you called. He made me laugh every time I saw him and was always true to who he was. I will never forget Andrew Miller and will miss him greatly.

These People Aren't Very Friendly

Many people say this is their favorite recent photo of Andrew.  He posted this from Raiders stadium when he was there to watch the Packers....in full Packer gear....apparently they were not very welcoming.

Hey Taco Bell!

Andrew worked two and sometimes three jobs to get through college.  He took great pride in making perfect tacos at Taco Bell.  This is a tribute from his brothers at Vancouver Fire.
