Today is bittersweet. I am trying to spread Kindness and Laughter when all I feel like doing is crying. Andrew was definitely a gift to all that knew him. We are loving you and missing you kiddo. Happy birthday with love.

I’ll never forget the first time I met Andrew. I instantly knew he was funny, creative, smart, determined, and an independent thinker from the very first moment I saw him. You might be wondering how on earth was I able to know that much about Andrew just from a brief encounter. Well, I’ll tell you...now here comes the funny part of the story. When they were in middle school, Andrew and Grant had made plans to meet at The Avenue and walk around for a little bit. Grant was excited and had picked out the perfect outfit! When we arrived at The Avenue to meet Andrew, I noticed something on Andrew’s ear that looked like a bluetooth ear piece on steroids. It was huge! I wasn’t sure if it was a really old ear piece design, which would explain the enormous size, or if it was something else. I asked Grant about it later, on the way home. Grant smiled and informed me that it wasn’t an ear piece. It was a part from his playstation he used to try and make it look like he was wearing an ear piece.
The thing looked like a spaceship attached to his head! However I will admit, he almost fooled me! He definitely had me questioning my recollection of the older designs from way back in the day. All of Andrew’s amazing qualities that I mentioned above were revealed to me in this brief moment. He has blessed so many with a priceless gift...the joy of laughter and precious memories!♥️

Andrew was hilarious. Never a dull moment. Him and I quoted memes together at camp and spent a bit of time together at kallahs. Samantha and I were both looking forward to seeing him at the next one, and now the atmosphere will not be the same there without him. When I found out I cried, I think we all did, but I realized quickly that from wherever he was at the time, he would be laughing at me for crying, so I quickly got myself under control and recalled all of our fond memories I had of him. Andrew is going to be missed, the Jewish community and every individual inside of it will never be the same. I hope Andrew is having a great time wherever he is, he always made every situation fun. I’m gonna miss him a lot.
