Mrs. Rudd was born in Valley, Alabama on Sunday, January 11, 1953, the daughter of the late Thomas and Ruedeen Shockley. She was a respiratory Therapist for over thirty years, having been employed by West Georgia Medical Center, George H. Lanier Memorial Hospital and most recently, East Alabama Medical Center where she had a very large and loving work family.
 

Mrs. Rudd is survived by her husband, Lonnie Rudd, her son and daughter in law Chancy and Jana Rudd, and her daughter Wendy Fitzwater, all of Beulah, Alabama; her grandchildren, Levi Fitzwater and Macie Rudd; her sisters Diane Holmes of Lanett, Alabama and Bobbie Leavins of Valley, Alabama; her aunt and uncle Bobbie and L. M. Crutchfield of Augusta, Georgia; a special uncle, George Braswell of Lanett, Alabama; her father-in-law, Eddie Rudd of Lake Harding, Alabama; her brother-in-law, Tony Rudd of LaGrange, Georgia, her sister-in-law, Penny Rudd of LaGrange, and a host of other loved relatives and friends, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother Tommy Shockley, all of West Point, Georgia.
