Her Life
January 24, 2018

Mrs. Angela Jean Tucker was born September 18, 1954 in Lanett, Chambers County, AL to the parentage of the late Lucious Pitts and Rosie L. Wright. She entered into Heaven’s gates on Friday, January 19, 2018 at East Alabama Medical Center-Lanier, Valley, AL.

Angela confessed Christ as her Lord and personal Savior at an early age and united with the Ebenezer Baptist Church, where she was a very active and faithful member for over fifty years.

Angela received her education in the Lanett City School System ,where she was a member of the 1972 graduating class of Lanett High School. She was a former employee of Johnson Control Industries.

Jean” ,as she was affectionately called by many, was a loving, caring and God fearing woman. She was loved and admired by whom ever she crossed paths with. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, participating in church activities. She most of all enjoyed being the backbone to her loving family.

Angela was preceded in death by an aunt and uncle, who were very dear to her, Johnnie Lou and Johnny Stiggers.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: a devoted husband, Robert Tucker; her only daughter, Angel Finley; four sons, Cheko(Ashley)Cheeks, Takio(Tisha)Cheeks, Teo(Lucy)Cheeks and Marco(Sheila)Cheeks, and her mother, Rosie L. Wright, all of Lanett, AL. Angela was the oldest of eleven siblings that she loved dearly. She was an amazing grandmother to all of grandkids and great grandkids; she would always say “#Lovemybabies.” Jean was, also, loved and had a major and positive impact on a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
