her Life

The daughter of the late John W. and Vera White Davis, Mrs. Neal was born in Sale City, GA. She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church where she served as a Deaconess, with the Inspirational Choir and as an Usher. She was also a member of Minister's Wives Association. She retired in 1994 following 25 years of dedicated service at Opelika Manufacturing Company.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Willie E. Neal, and three brothers, Rayfield, John A. and Johnny Davis. Survivors include: her sons, Curtis H. Nelson (Denvey), Bobby L. Nelson and Ricky J. Nelson (Paula); two daughters, Marion D. Nelson and Gwendolyn E. Nelson; eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, a sister, Mary Lee Taylor-Ellis; an aunt, Maggie Weldon; loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
