TRIBUTE TO LATE MADAM ANGELINA ONYEKAOZULU NDAH
Late Madam Angelina Ndah was the first daughter (Adah) of Mr. Lucas Nwanji of Umuaji quarters, Asaba. On his part, Mr. Lucas Nwanji is the first son of Obi Nwanji - also of Umuaji. The prefix "Obi" signifies "titled man" and is emblematic of societal or community VIP. The "Obi" title is not a birth right and must be earned. Thus, Angelina was from a famous and accomplished family in Asaba.
Given her renowned family background, it is not surprising that late Madam Angelina comported herself with quiet, lady-like dignity. Those who know her very well, openly, and unreservedly testify to the fact that her dignified personality did not overshadow or conceal her measured humility during personal interaction with others around her - family, friends and/or members of the community, in whatever forum she found herself at any point in time.
Late Mrs. Adobi Florence Okocha - nee Nwanji, my mother, who was the first daughter (Adah) of Obi Nwanji, was her aunt. Their relationship was so commendably healthy that my mom invited her to take over and occupy her (i.e. my mom's) inherited property in order to enhance her living conditions. Ever since I came to know her, she always exuded calm demeanor and readiness to engage in friendly conversation.
Late Madam Angelina was blessed with a son Tony, as well as a daughter. As a mother, she embraced all necessary sacrifice to ensure the success of her children. Her son, Tony is currently a CEO in the US Energy industry. It is gratifying that she lived long enough to enjoy the house built for her by her son, who she also visited in the USA. Furthermore, she is survived by many grandchildren. Thus, she reveled in the treat of grand motherhood before leaving this world of trial and tribulation.
At this juncture, I wish that all who mourn her be provided the wherewithal to bear this grievous loss. Finally, may her gentle soul rest in perfect peace until we all meet again.
