Let the memory of Anita be with us forever

Anita Angelika Krause-Carlson, 56, passed away on January 22, 2016. She may have lost her battle with cancer, but she never lost her zest for life. She will always have a special place in the many hearts that she touched in her short time here. Anita is remembered for her love of plants and flowers, her decorating sense, and her creativity—she found a use for things most of us would just throw away. Anita loved the arts and watching musicals at DPAC with her husband and daughter when she could.

She is survived by her father, Keith Schroeder, 74, and her mother, Renate Schroeder, 76, of Catawba, SC, her husband, Dean Carlson, 54, of Oxford, NC, her daughters, Rochelle Klubert, 38 of Butner, NC and Ashlie Carlson, 26, of Chapel Hill, NC, her sisters, Margot Meade, 57, of Rock Hill, NC, Heidi Kastner, 53, of Litchfield, MN, Betty Bakken, 51, of Two Harbors, MN, and Debbie Schroeder, 42, of Elysian, MN and her six grandchildren, Nate, Kamille, Grant, Henrik, Jakoby, and Ezra Klubert.

A celebration of Anita’s life will be held Friday, January 29, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. in the Eakes Funeral Home Chapel in Creedmoor. A gathering of family and friends will take place at the funeral home prior to the Celebration of Anita’s life from 2:00 – 3:00 P.M.
