Anita Wing Suen Fong was born in Hong Kong on 12/29/52 and migrated to San Francisco in 1959 with her parents and older brother. She attended Jean Parker Elementary School, Herbert Hoover Jr. High School, Lowell High School before going to UC Berkeley where she received her BA in Sociology. Upon graduation, she continued her education at Sacramento State University where she received a Master degree in Sociology and a few years later, a MBA from Golden Gate University.

She is perhaps best remembered by her large network of friends, mentees and family as someone who always tried to make the lives of others just a little bit better.
