Tribute by Mrs Magdalene Sirri AWA
My Darling Big Sis, Mama Anna,
Your friendship with the Awa family in Ekona since the 1970s has been a wonderful blessing. In PC Azire, you and I sang in New Zion Choir (NZC). Later on, you and Pa Awa were elected into the session. You then decided to be a patroness of NZC.
Pa Awa says, "The Lord has decided that you precede me in "This Journey."
That Wednesday, I struggled to get your voice, but our conversation was good because at that bleak moment God was present. Mama told me that problem has become more serious and my response was, All l can do is to lift you up to the Lord, Ma!
God made me to understand, more than ever that the margin between life and death is incredibly narrow. This is moreso because on Friday our daughter Thelma called me to say, "Mami, slept off this morning." This wasn't what I wanted Him to do. But upon reflection I realized that although a hard pill to swallow, what God chooses for us is always the best option!
We, especially your Godson, Theodore and his siblings whom you mothered, will miss you sorely, but we all wish your gentle soul to RIPP, till we meet to part no more! Adieu Big Sis, Adieu Mother, Adieu!!!!
