I restrung several of your wind chimes and have them hanging around the patio. When the wind blows, I hear them chime and I imagine they are you, so I talk to them. I admired Mother for the kind of woman she was, the way she looked at the world, the way she cared for others, and the way she spread joy wherever she went. I'm so grateful that a wonderful woman like her was also my very special Mother. She has always been and will forever be "Our Angel."

My dear sister Mae, I miss you so much already. I remember when I was a young teen and babysat for you and Fred, For extra money, I would Iron for you, mostly the kids clothes, Some of them had lots of ruffles!! The kids were always dressed nice and you tried to keep them neat. The boys didn't always cooperate.
I knew I could always tell you any troubles I was having as a teen and you would talk with me and advise me. Such a good big sister.
I remember some of those silly songs we sang too. My favorite song you sang to me was the one you made up when I was born. I sang it to my 5 grandchildren just substituting their name for mine.

My Dearest Mother,where do I begin? I feel so blessed to have a loving Mother like you. The saying, "not knowing what you have until it is gone" is so true. The ties we have as a family are strong and even stronger since you are gone. Gone from this earth to Heaven, a much better place. We will all meet again soon for our family reunion with all the other angels. I know you are looking down on us with a smile. You are forever in my heart. I love you so much! Your daughter Norma Jean

My beautiful big sister, I will miss you so much, and our long talks and your caring advice.You will be with our beautiful angels, and forever in my heart.

Our friendship started on that sunny summer day back in 1970 at the swimming pool, where I have for the past 44 years been blessed knowing and loving Annamae. So many many fond memories, but the one that resonates to this day and forever will was the kindness, patience and love that she showed to me. She showed me the path to the Lord, as I was welcomed to attend church every Sunday and every summer for vacation bible school. Had it not been for Annamae I might have never known the glory of his presence. 
All the days and nights spent at the Melville’s, just like one of their own kids, a second mom in my mind. Birthday, Halloween and any occasion to have a party was always a thrill! From spin the bottle to post office to haunted house...so many GOOD good times spent and shared...Thank you Annamae for being a protector for being there when you knew my mom had to work two jobs to support my sister and I. You will forever and ever be in my heart...♥ you Caren

This is a wonderful tribute and the pictures are so wonderful to look through. My best memories of Aunt Mae are of her visits to us when I was a kid. She was always so much fun with lots of games, stories, and silly things to do.  She loved being with others - such a blessing to be in her presence!

Such a beautiful tribute to my big sister Annamae.she was always very caring and loving from way back before we even started kindergarten, we sat on the ground and made mud pies,Mother told us as we finished making them, I wanted Mae to taste them and she did just that so I wouldn't cry. That is sisterly Love  She will be forever loved and missed.  Rest in peace my Dear Annamae.

As long as I can remember, Annamae & Fred were in my parents thoughts and hearts. Growing up, it was like we were family, not just friends. Mae was a very special person,... she was one of the sweetest, kindest, loving persons I've ever had the privilege to know. My heart is sad for her family and friends, but I know she has been reunited with many who have passed on before her! My parents included. We love you Mae!!

What a fantastic lady and the best mother in law. We are going to miss her a lot. Always fun to have around and laugh at my silly jokes.
She would always ask me (even when the kids were little) "are things getting any better?".....I finally said yes.......after Stephanie graduated from college!

Grandma will certainly be missed by our family here in Arkansas! We know she has gone to be with her Lord and Savior, and for that we are excited for her! However, the human side of me wants to say, "Wait! I didn't get to thank her for...." There are so many ways to finish that sentence. I have countless memories that I will cherish always!

My mom was a wonderful mother and friend. She had a heart of gold and touched anyone she ever had the pleasure to know. She always brought joy to every family gathering.  We were so blessed to have such a loving, supportive, nurturing and fantastic Mom. It is so hard to believe that my mom has entered the kingdom of heaven. She will truly be missed but will be our guardian angel for eternity.
