The day that she passed, I knew that it was going to happen. The night before, Alex, Adelina and I got a call from my dad where he told us that it would be her last night. I woke up the next morning and was looking out the window at the sunrise, knowing it would be the last sunrise while she was here, on Earth. I felt her presence, and I immediately knew it was her. I felt her warmth and I could have sworn that if I looked next to me, she would be there. I think she came to say goodbye that morning, and I’ll cherish that feeling forever.

One of the days that I was at the hospital visiting her, we were talking about what might happen in the end- if she would make it or not. She told
me that she wasn’t scared. She was never scared of death. She knew she had her place in heaven, and that has always given me comfort. One thing she did say, though, was that she never wanted me to have any regrets. She wanted me, and all of you reading, to live our lives to the absolute fullest. In honor of my Mom, I’ll always be sure to seize every opportunity, never wonder “what if”, and makethe most of every situation. I love you Mommy <3
