Some of the most cherished memories of my teenage years were spent at Grandma and Grandpa Reppermund's house with Amanda. It was a warm and welcoming space with some of the best corn bread I'd ever had. Even when I didn't *plan* to sleepover, I pretty much always did and there was always a fresh bed and cozy Granny Nightie for me to borrow. I am so grateful for those memories where I always felt like part of the family, not just their eldest granddaughter's best friend. My mother was the most selfless, generous, kind and loving person on the planet. She was always there with a smile or a hug or some profound bits of wisdom that just made everything okay.
