Many of you know about Anne's penchant for logging 1000's of miles on the highways and in the skies… she loved going place to place, and her Facebook log is proof of it.  :-)   You may not know that she had detailed dreams of learning to sail, buying a sailboat, and travelling down to the Caribbean and beyond. Anne went so far as to take some navigation courses and some small boat courses in the last several years.
    A couple of winters ago we learned more about her sailing dream as we made it a fairly frequent Sunday ritual to visit her, have some nice espresso drinks, get some take-out Chinese, and watch her favourite YouTube sailing program - SV Delos.  She was a patreon of the group and in direct communication with them over the last couple of years!  Together we vicariously enjoyed Delos' adventures through the Caribbean and around the world as amateur/greenhorn sailors would join the core group for months at a time, as they documented their travels and adventures at sea and in port.  There were a few on ship romances with a little bit of drama thrown in to boot, :-). What fun on a dreary cold february afternoon.

    What a journey we have been on Anne. It is still hard to believe that you are gone. Meeting at Earth Sea in Nova Scotia 20 years ago...our love of music and spiritual contemplations...finding out we were both from Kingston on Ontario and you dated a member of the Conboy family who lived on lake of my family's cottage. What can I say? You were part of Rory and I's family...I mean a trusted member witnessing the truimps and struggles like only a  real family member would.

     You supported each of us, and especially me, in the most empathetic and real ways possible. Also, both our families knew you well and you treated them like your family too, they grieved with us...when we found out about your sudden passing into guardian angel realm.
     On earth you were a guardian angel . . . finding ways to help make lives better and dreams possible. Like becoming my traveling guardian angel when, as a directionally creative person, I took the plunge to drive back to Nova Scotia by myself. Traveling back the place where I first met Rory and then you. You calmed me down, guided me at every critical junction of the way, and we talked for hours and shared the excitement as I entered Darthmouth, NS and traveled across the bridge to Halifax, my true heart home. Now you really are in Guardian Angel realm.
    I hope you are taking a little break from caring about all of us and enjoying yourself traveling as much as want and enjoying yourself.

Joan and I enjoyed Anne visiting our cottage with Alison and Rory.  We loved her intelligence and sparkling personality.  We particularly remember Anne's research into her Scottish heritage and how one of her ancestors may have furthered Robbie Burns' career.

Well, I was wrong again.  ; )
Ever the visionary, Anne suggested I build a "She Shed" for Ali.  For privacy, meditation and solace.  I said I had never heard anything so crazy - I think that may have been my exact words. I laughed my head off when I heard  the suggestion.  And I cringed inside because I knew it just might have to happen. ; (
It has been a success (I scored points with Alison). 

It would've never happened without our intrepid traveller . . .
